Geographic
Information Systems (GIS)
SNEI personnel have a state-of-the-art
GIS that includes GIS capabilities on a number
of computers in various locations. Our professionals
are experienced in the analytical processes
involved in data collection and processing.
We are expert in GPS data collection, differential
correction and post processing GIS data. The
staff’s GIS expertise also extends to
integrating data from field collection crews
with existing geodata. To ensure your projects
are run efficiently and within budget, SNEI
personnel are skilled in Geodatabase management
and application development as well. |

Resources
SNEI uses MS Windows XP and Macintosh
compatible computers and hand-held devices,
along with state-of-the-art GIS software. GIS/GPS
data collection, ground truthing and survey-grade
data are gathered using differentially corrected
GPS, then incorporated into Trimble Pathfinder
software for data manipulation. Field monitoring
and assessment equipment includes Field Cam
Burrow Probe III’s, digital and manual
cameras, handheld radios and a host of other
on-site equipment.
